André's Notes:
"This region is lauded for their whites (produced from Arneis), but the reds (Nebbiolo) are often just as good. This has all the staples - cherry, dried flowers, and tobacco."
An elegant, structured Italian red wine produced by the Povero family in Piedmont. Made from 100% Nebbiolo sourced from organically farmed ancient estate vineyards in the Roero hills. The aromatic profile features distinct notes of dried roses, violet, raspberry, and wild cherry, layered with hints of tobacco, cinnamon, and clove. The palate is harmonious, framed by dense, velvety tannins and fresh acidity.
Distributor's Notes:
"On the palate, you first recognize intense floral and fruity notes of dried roses, violets, raspberry, blackberry, citrus, and almond. On a second sip, you can perceive spicy hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, tobacco, and lightly toasted hints. It becomes earthier, over time, showing hints of dry leaves, resin, bark, and berries, with a balsamic whiff. The palate is persuasive, soft, and harmonious. The finish is persistent, with spiciness and light sapidity. The tannins are dense and velvety, well-integrated into the structure."
