"This artisanal tobalá is made by the Lopez family at Casa Lopez, a palenque founded in 1956 by the grandfather of Maestro Mezcalero Antonio Lopez. A few times a year, Antonio works with wild-harvested agave varietals, including this tobalá. Notes of grilled pineapple and sweet cherries give way to tobacco and leather with a mildly smoky finish."
