"A tribute to two icons born in 1948—the Fitou appellation and the legendary Citroën 2CV—"La Tire" ("the ride" in French slang) captures the authentic spirit of the Languedoc. Sourced from the cooler, continental sector of Fitou around Villeneuve-les-Corbières, it is crafted from 60% hand-harvested Carignan from 50-year-old vines yielding a tiny 24 hl/ha, blended with 40% Syrah from 30-year-old vines. Deep cardinal red in color, it offers aromas of blueberry, violet and spice, balanced by remarkable freshness, tension and crunchy fruit. A vibrant, old-vine Fitou that overdelivers on both character and drinkability."
