"100% Chenin Blanc. Filliatreau sources most of the fruit from Saumur neighbors for "Lena", as they have relatively little Chenin Blanc on their own certified-organic estate. As a rule, the vines are farmed sustainably and range from 10-20 years old; Filliatreau does the harvesting themselves. The bunches are direct-pressed and fermented to dryness with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in tank on its fine lees until the spring following the vintage. "Lena" is named for founder/proprietor Paul Filliatreau's wife."
