"La Démarrante shows delicacy and purity, with cherry coulis and fresh peony notes. On the palate, it is both refreshing and juicy. With its electric red color, this wine is pure play and would work great as a chillable red for the summer. A true treat from the Beaujolais. 30% estate grapes, 70% purchased grapes from friends who share the same approach to viticulture. The Gamay Noir à jus blanc vines grows on granite and metamorphic diorite rock topped by a sandy-clay soil. The vineyard is located on the southern and eastern facing slopes of the Côte de Brouilly. The grapes are manually harvested; semi-carbonic maceration with whole bunches in order to obtain the maximum freshness in the wine. All precautions are taken to limit the handling of the grapes and of the wine in order to preserve all of its integrity. The wine is aged for 6 months in cement tanks and is bottled unfiltered with minimal sulfite added. The name refers to the round of drinks offered by a bar at last call, to wish the patrons a good night."
