"A rich black cherry, blueberry and blackberry cassis nose shoots out of the glass. Poesia, Helene Garcia's tiny Saint-Emilion boutique winery (Chateau Barde Haut) nestled on sheer limestone alongside Chateau Mangot and Valandraud. Coffee, cassis, rose petals, concentrated wild raspberry and mulberry in the mouth. Rich liquorice, mint, eucalyptus. Almost a fat thing if it weren't for so much Burgundian black cherry. The high proportion of Cabernet Franc guarantees elegance. The low PH on limestone brings an ingenious freshness, very long and very complex."
