Distributor's Notes:
"The property's 100 hectares of vines flourish in a beautiful protected green setting of 1,000 hectares. The vines are planted on soil consisting of limestone pebbles, on terraces separated by dry-stone walls at an altitude of up to 500 metres, harmoniously following the shape of Escarelle's hills and montagne de la Loube. This variation in altitude contributes to the terroir's special character, enabling the vinification of very expressive wines, thereby defining Escarelle's unique, sophisticated signature. The Estate covers more than 1000 hectares of protected, wild landscapes with a unique character, Garrigues and oaks trees mixed with typical provencal plants create a wonderful rich landscape. The estate's owner is deeply committed to preserving and bringing out the best in this natural environment that has so much potential, and has undertaken various projects, such as the restoration of existing buildings for wine and nature tourism, and also an organic certification of the entire estate. The PACA LPO (french league for birds protection) was invited to carry out an initial diagnostic of biodiversity on the estate in 2014. The conclusions of the resulting inventories demonstrated a strong biodiversity with the presence of no less than 95 species of butterfly. Thanks to the support of the ITANCIA Endowment Fund, a project to present the butterflies has been developed in association with the LPO PACA. Escarelle has benefited from substantial investment since it was acquired by Yann Pineau in 2014. This has resulted in improved quality at every stage of the vinification process. The winery has been equipped with the latest-generation presses, a particularly meticulous sorting system and a range of temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, enabling a very high standard of vinification. Furthermore, the modern equipment and our Cellar Master's rigorous approach guarantee perfect hygiene throughout vinification."
