The Amrut Master Distiller's Reserve 8 Year Old Refill PX-Sherry Butt is a rare, limited-edition single cask expression hand-selected by Amrut’s Master Distiller, Ashok Chokalingam. It represents a significant milestone as Amrut’s first peated single malt matured in a Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry cask.

Distilled from Scottish peated barley, this whisky balances heavy smoke with the syrupy sweetness of the refill PX sherry butt.

Aroma (Nose): Dominant scents of dried fruits like figs and plums, evolving into caramel, chocolate, and tobacco. A background of sweet melon and soft phenols (smoke) is also present.

Palate (Taste): Thick and oily texture. The entry is sweet with honey and dried fruits, followed by intense peat smoke, sea salt, ash, and bittersweet burnt caramel. Mid-palate notes include lemon, tobacco, and dark chocolate.

Finish: Medium-long and "salivating". It is sweet and dry, featuring lingering notes of smoked plum, coffee, tobacco, and a "cloud of spice dust".
