Wine Enthusiast 94 points - Aged in former American whiskey casks, then finished in barrels that previously held PX and oloroso sherries, this single malt balances sweetness, spice and oak. Caramel and vanilla aromas are echoed on the velvety palate, plus cocoa and espresso, finishing with clove, cinnamon and a hint of lemon peel..Kara Newman, December/2017
Ultimate Beverage Challenge 94 points - A standout among the 12-year releases from other Highland and Speyside distilleries, the full-bodied Glendronach has pronounced date and toffee notes intermingled with marine air, toasted pecans, and black pepper. The finish is medium-long, inspiring another sip. -2019 Ultimate Spirits Challenge (Excellent, Highly Recommended).April/2019
This superb richly sherried single malt is matured for at least 12 years in a combination of the finest Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Non-chill filtered, of natural colour and bottled at 43%, the GlenDronach 12 year old Original is a sweet, creamy dram.
