Segals / Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon / 750mL
In 1925, Yankel Hirsh Segal and his family emigrated to Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. Brothers Elhanan and Yehezkel established Israel's first distillery in the German colony known as Sharona, or Kirya, in Tel Aviv.
Segal's Unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon is a rustic, intense wine that you need to approach with caution. But like many wild beasts, once it sees your intentions are good it will become a friend for life. Fearless winemaker Avi Feldstein takes the bold step of avoiding filtration, thereby ensuring that not a molecule of rich Cabernet character is left behind. Deep red color, with notes of black currant, blackberry and mint. Try it with a big, juicy burger, a roasted lamb shank, with full flavored meat or with rich sauced chicken dishes.
