Founded by Angelo Cetto, history says that Cetto started the wine business in 1928, bought a number of small wineries in the 1980, and now he is responsible for more than half of the country’s wine. Cetto cultivates 2,500 acres of vineyards in Baja California; also tequila and olive oil. L. A. Cetto is one of the most renowned and oldest wineries in Mexico and uses 100% natural and sustainable methods and green practices.
Vinification: Fermented for 10 to 15 days and then aged for 14 months in French oak barrels and a further 24 months in bottle before release.
Grape varieties : Nebbiolo
Tasting notes : Intense ruby red with notes of ripe red and black fruit on the nose. Lots of spice and fruit on the palate with deeper layers of tobacco, leather and nuts. Pair with Italian cuisine, grilled meats and semi-soft cheeses.
