GD Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo is sourced from young Barolo vineyards and a very historical estate located just off the region, in Bricco Bertone, Sinio. Focus here is about the purity of aromatics. Fruit is hand-picked early in the morning so to capture its quintessential qualities. Vinification is long and extremely gentle, so to retain lift and tension to this wine.

GD Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo is harvested usually between the second half of September and the beginning of October. Picking decisions are individual to each site and seldomly vineyards are picked in multiple passages, to respect the diversity of each vine. Fermentation lasts for an average of 15-20 days in vertical vats, with gentle punch-down and pump-overs, at a free temperature below 31°C. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation follows.
Vajra's 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo aged for 10 months in stainless-steel vats, with a very small portion spending time in neutral oak, prior to bottling.
