80% Viognier and 20% Grenache Blanc. The Viognier comes from a parcel in Courthézon north-east of the domaine, and the Grenache Blanc from the same vineyard as for Côtes du Rhône Rouge, just opposite the winery. The vines average 40 years of age. The Viognier and Grenache Blanc were both harvested and carefully selected on September 10, 2018, the same day as the grapes for the Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc. The two varieties were lightly pressed together and the must cleared (débourbage) over 2 days. The clear juice fermented with only the native yeasts in new, 225 liter barrels for 6 months. Autard blocked the malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness. He bottled 300 cases on May 20, 2019.
