A favorite land for vine growing, the Cistercian monks of Quincy Abbey nearby (1133) were not mistaken: they took advantage of a donation from Pierre de Courtenay to establish both their residence summer and their wine barn in 1212.

In 1285, Marguerite of Burgundy completed this gift. The place was then baptized in the 13th century "Le Petit Quincy" , then later "The Abbey of Petit Quincy" , and even "The Castle of Épineuil" .

In 1568, the Knight of Andelot, a neighboring Huguenot, ordered the fire and bloodshed of the Abbey of Quincy.

The Abbey then survived modestly in the mornings spared.

In 1791, following the French Revolution, the Abbey was sold as a national asset and the buildings were turned into a stone quarry.

And yet the exploitation of the Domain continues.

But at the end of the 19th, the phylloxera temporarily stops the cultivation of the vine.

The Petit Quincy was then taken in turn by families operating the vineyards until 1939.

In 1935 the terroirs were classified in AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée).

In 1990, my parents took up the challenge and began the restoration of this magnificent property already remodeled in the 18th century. The work will last 20 years!

It is also in 1990 that I settle down as a winemaker and that I put back in value the very beautiful parcels of the Wine estate.

Since the exploitation was enlarged and an additional step was crossed in 2009 taking again 3.5 ha of vines in Chablis on the most beautiful "climates".

In 2010, we embarked on a 100% organic farming certification process.

In 2012 we celebrated the 800th anniversary of the Domaine!
