VerVino Vermouth-Variation 4
Slightly sweet vermouth...rose/red, made with late Summer botanicals (tocai, blaufrankisch base wine, watermelon, carrots, shitake mushroom, flowering herbs), 19.8%alc, 9.65g residual sugar.
VerVino Vermouth is a fortified, aromatized wine. Inspired by the long history of vermouth and aromatized wines, VerVino Vermouths are local, seasonal examples. The wine is fortified with neutral grape brandy and macerated with twenty to forty different aromatic local botanicals in the wine, then sweetened slightly with local honey. All of the botanicals were grown or foraged by the winery or farmer friends all within a few miles from the winery.
You are encouraged to drink this wonderful elixir many ways but it is suggested that you start by first tasting and smelling it on its own at cellar temp. Then move on to chilled VerVino…over ice…maybe a spritz…or some juice. Go wild and make a martini or some manhattans…next create your own VerVino cocktails! Fill your glasses with crushed ice, then pour in VerVino and top with a bit of lemonade and garnish with some mint or maybe lemon balm…oh boy! This really is supremely aromatic, tasty and inspiring stuff.

Atlantic breezes cool the vineyards creating a climate hospitable to a wide array of fascinating grape varieties. They grow and create wines from the white varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Tocai Friulano, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Malvasia, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Bianco, and the red varieties Merlot, Blaufrankisch, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Soon the reds Teroldego, Refosco and Lagrein will join them. They are the only winery on the East End growing and producing wines from many of these grapes. Their home is a beautiful plot of land in Bridgehampton that contains twenty-five acres of vines, small winery and tasting room. They source about fifty percent of their grapes from special sites and people on the North Fork.
They allow the wines to naturally express the earth that grows them. Small and unique vineyard lots of grapes are fermented and bottled separately, bearing a Vineyard Designation and Appellation of Origin. They produce wines bearing all three Long Island AVA’s. The North Fork of Long Island, The Hamptons, and Long Island are all utilized. Whether it is a varietal Sauvignon Blanc from the Mudd Vineyard on the North Fork, Blaufrankisch from our Sylvanus Vineyard on our Estate in Bridgehampton or a blend of varieties and vineyards like their Vino Bianco, which bears a Long Island AVA, they believe in celebrating the place, vineyards and region from which they are lucky enough to produce wine.
