The Xarel-lo is one the estate’s longest aging wines due to the 60+ year old vines' adaptation to the semi-arid climate and limestone soils, high alcohol content and bracing acidity.
There is a fantastic intensity to the nose. Reflecting the landscape of the property, strong rosemary, fennel, white truffle, liquorice and subtle bay leaf are evident. In the mouth, the wine delivers ample weight, yet elegance. Ripe stone fruit, sesame and ginger is balanced by persistent minerality and acidity. The finish continues with liquorice and an intriguing bitterness.
