Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
Geography: Mendoza, Argentina
As with most of Weinert's wines, it is aged in large old casks, rendering a more Old World-style bottling. Obvious bottle evolution manifesting as slightly oxidative fruit on the nose but the freshness is intact on the palate. Pleasing sophistication and development especially at this price. Long, chocolate and spice finish. Chewy but plain tannins. Really worth buying if you're curious about New World wines with bottle development.
